TourGuide.live makes story-rich, self-guided walking tours in 50 cities. Tours play in your phone’s browser, so there’s no app to install and no group schedule: start when you like, pause for coffee and pick up where you left off.
We started with one walk in Portland, Oregon, the Page & Pour Walk from Powell’s City of Books. Today there are walks across the United States and in Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia, from Amsterdam and Barcelona to Tokyo and Sydney.
How the tours are made
Each walk has 8 to 10 stops. The stories are written from public sources such as Wikipedia, Wikidata and OpenStreetMap, and narrated by an AI voice. Every stop also has the full text, so you can read instead of listen. Spot something wrong? Email hello@tourguide.live.
Free to start
The first 2 stops of every tour are free. A full tour is $4.99 at launch, going to $9.99 after the first 100 buyers.
